No, your picture is showing the fork stem pinch bolt, item 2. Release this and loosen the top yoke pinch bolts, item 3 To reduce play in the headstock, tighten the fork stem screw, item 1, then check play as per the workshop manual. Pull force to move the forks in lbs

Get the manual or a proper write-up on fall away adjustment.

The new Softails no longer use “fall away” as an adjustment method. The new method requires raising the front end, turning the forks to full lock and measuring force to turn the fork using a spring force gage.

The values are given in the table in post #11.

Thank you. Seems like a more reliable, repeatable test.

You don`t need to "mess" with the bearings...You don`t know what the cause of the wobble is...

Take it to the dealer, it is a warranty issue.

You paid good money for that warranty coverage.

I am still waiting, 10 weeks after ordering it (dealer very apologetic, says Harley is the problem, not shipping them, says he has loads on back order), to receive my 2021 Softail Service Manual. But, one thing immediately jumps out at me in that table. My FXST is not listed. Maybe it will be in this new manual, but I am not holding my breath. Certainly no way to get at the bearings or lubricate them other than total strip down. Manual says lubricate every 30,000 miles I think.

My manual is a 2019 so I don’t think the FXST was released at that time.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to wait and see. The (old) manual I have is 2018, even worse!! It can wait for now (unless any dealer techs are here and can look it up?).
