Was looking for my first Harley Davidson. Friend had his 2020 Low Rider S for sale, but with 9 K miles on it and needing tires, and him asking $17000 last October, with registration due, I felt he was a bit out of touch... New 2022 Low Rider S were going for $17500 with no dealer Market adjustment fees at Laidlaws.

Ended up trying a used white 2021 Sport Glide with 1600 miles on it, that out the door, was going to be a crazy $22,000, all said and done, far more than what it cost new before all the Wuhan Flu madness. That pretty much sealed it for me.

Started looking around and found locally a nice private party 2018 in Twisted Cherry Red, basically a 115th Aniversary bike, as far as I was concerned. Found one local to me, with Saddlemen Explorer seat, Gustafson 9" wind screen, 6" 2" back HD risers and HD top box and mustache bars with a Garmin Zumo GPS hard wired in. 15,500 miles on it, full HD service records, that the first 12000 miles on it were 2 big separate cross country trips accounting for probably the first 12,000 miles on the bike. Bike was owned by a former Boeing mechanical engineer, retired long ago.

That was end of December 2022, saved a lot on the bike, it's accessorized just the way I like it, fits me just fine, the forward foot rests are perfect. We ride year round here in So CA, she's got another 1900 miles on her now, and it's just starting to warm up and be good riding weather now. The Sport Glide is perfect for what I do, maybe up to 150 or 200 miles round trip on weekend rides, usually shorter. Canyons, traffic, freeways, it does them all pretty good. Always a fun ride when I'm in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area on one of it's many 2 lane roads through mountains and canyons.

Bought a 2020 Sport Glide in October of 2019. Other than needing 6.5 inch pull back risors, the ride, handling, looks and light weight of the bike was the best Harley I ever owned in 50 years. Really liked the bags, put the liners in them . Really nice being able to see everything in the whole bag. I added a trunk as well as other things as time went on, even stage 2. Really a great bike. I just bought a new Heritage and miss the Sport Glide more everyday. It just handled so well, not like most Harleys. You can't go wrong with one.

This has a custom attached fairing... not a stock one. Looks good but not simple. This is an example of creating a touring bike from a softail so it can be done if that's what you want. The wheels are the coolest softail wheels with the possible exception of laced wheels.

Beautiful bike Bob. Hope you can give her one more summer.

Bob Thomas Jefferson was well read & wise. We have a constitutional republic for as long as we can keep it. We as citizens have and are failing to do our part to conserve our constitution and our free & civil society. We were supposed to elect virtuous leaders "prune" to include charge try properly prosecute and punish to the maximum extent of the law politicians who move us towards an elites controlled society or socialist state. The "progressive" left to include not just the owned D party but all the establishment or RINO R politicians are bill by bill institution by institution systematically moving us there. Our population & youth are being so hoodwinked and disinformed. We can look to history around the globe & throughout time to know the heart of men who want this kind of power & control over others and what this will would mean for our grandchildren & future generations. Benevolence as the entrusting supporter believes will be no part of it. To capitulate or appease only empowers this so I appreciate the education & warning that Mr Jefferson provided us with.

And back to our motorcycling passion.

Saw this 2018 Sport Glide today. Black backround as a canvas for some beautiful amazing art work.
