Default USB Caddy delete/Wire tuck

I got rid of the hideous and tasteless USB caddy, the black plastic box behind the horn, and was wondering if anyone else did this? If so, how did you tuck your wires? I want whip up a plug or cover to give the wires in the frame a little protection. I can take pics if anyone isn't sure what I'm talking about.

Probably, I ride a Trike and a 2003 Sportster so I had no idea what the OP was talking about. I am better informed now.

Take a look at this thread I posted after I got my Deluxe: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/2018-...cable-mod.html .

Not sure if this is the type of "plug cover" you are looking for.

Hope this helps,

-PH

Here is the caddy removed

What I need is something to sit flush with the frame to protect the wires previously protected by the caddy. Its not a huge deal, I don't want them working their way down to rest on top of the rocker covers possibly melting the coating.

here is a cross section if i cut the spine of the frame where the arrow is

the opening is about 1". The only thing I can think of is getting a 1.5" piece of Kydex to sit under the wires.

i think i answered my question

New street bob owner here and this ugly caddy has to go. Curious to see how the Kydex solution worked and if you have an updated pic. I’m trying to think of a way of how to put these wires away.
