yes you do not need a tank lift. You should be able to put the usb port anywhere it will reach. Or tuck it up in the frame if you dont need/use it.

I ended up removing the tank lift and yes, you can still do the wire tuck and here’s where I put the USB. It does not interfere with steering.

OOH so the horn isnt attached to the plastic caddy itself, it attached to the bracket, and then the bolts thread into the caddy. Ok that makes sense.
I'm gonna remove that thing I dont even use it.

That plastic box doesn't bother me at all, I even used it to incorporate an SAE socket. This can serve as a 12V source or, as I intended, to connect the trickle charger. Will do this on all my M8 models soon.....

why not use the charging plug that come pre installed on the bike?

Because I didn't like the location of it , at the bottom of the battery cover lying down on the engine block.
