I like having the USB port and on the Fatboy, my WOLO Bad Boy Horn is attached to the frame just in front of that box.

I'm planning on removing mine to get that empty look over the engine.
The USB port on mine doesnt even seem to work anyways.
The SAE--USB port cable I have does a great job, and charges my battery banks and camera batteries.
So I'm gonna delete that box soon.

That box never bothered me until I saw this thread. Darn it.

Ended up completing this task this weekend.

To remove the caddy you will need to raise the tank. The bracket that holds the horn needs to be removed to remove the caddy but can be put back on after. A Philips, T-15 and T-20 torx sockets to drop the caddy and open it to remove the wires.

I wrapped the wires in electrical tape and tucked them up into the frame. On the bottom side of the frame there is an opening to tuck the wires into. I zip tied the wires inside the frame using the two existing holes in the frame. My FXBBS model does not have cruise or ABS which helps keep it cleaner looking.

I love the way it looks now. I also put on a 2” tank lift and 2” fork extensions.

Dude, That looks nice.
Can you put the tank back down in it's original position?
I want to delete the caddy without using a tank lift.

I like the way that looks on your bike though, looks oldschool.

I ended up relocating the USB port between the tank and the top of the frame so that it comes out the front. I need a way to secure it though. If I put the tank down I’ll need to find another spot for it. The USB is nice to have on a longer ride to charge my phone but I don’t like using maps. If I take a wrong turn that’s just more riding time the way I look at it.

So, if it weren't for the USB port you WOULD be able to do the wire tuck without the tank lift?
