No you are not. I have 33,000 miles on my 2018 Heritage with the stock seat and love it.

PM me or reply and I'll send you the pics and info.

Do your still have this seat for sale?

I have an Heritage classic 2022 and I liked the stock seat but my wife don't liked because she was always slipping. I bought a Mustang seat et all it's good now.

Great thread! Been wondering myself. Just purchased a used 2019 Heritage with 13k on it and the stock seat. Stock seat is not too bad, but I had an Ultimate on my previous motorcycle (Indian Chieftain) and it was absolutely perfect. Started saving the $$$ so I can order the Ultimate for the Heritage. Was super excited when I saw they made one for the Heritage.

ride safe!

Exactly the same for me. My wife now loves to ride on the heritage since then for long rides.

My experience with seats on the Heritage...

OEM/Stock - X
Ultimate - X
Mustang - X
Russel Day Long (RDL) - WINNER

All other seats that I've tried on my '18 Heritage were torture devices. The RDL on the other hand is exceptional - truly a day long seat for me. My wife has sung it's praises too.

I custom ordered a Saddlemen Explorer and returned it because it was like sitting on a pancake griddle. The gel soaked heat like a sponge.

Next I tried the stock seat with an American Leathers sheepskin cover and a grasshopper backrest. The backrest was removable but not folding which made it terribly awkward to use and the sheepskin covered stock seat was basically pain with a bandaid on top.

I’m by no means saying it’s the best and I won’t even rave about it but I will say it’s tolerable for about 3 tanks full and that’s my Harley Hammock seat w/ Folding Backrest…

Yes, the OEM passenger seat will fit with it.
What spring kit fits this seat on a 2022 Heritage 114?

The Russell Day Long aka RDL is in the top three seat choices for Iron Butt Rally Riders. Here's the rankings:

1. RDL
2. RDL
3. RDL

I used the spring seat kit that Harley sells for the '18 up Softail Slim with a few modifications. I detail what I did in this thread, starting at post 5:

Slim seat suggestions - Harley Davidson Forums (hdforums.com)

Another option mentioned in the thread is to use the stock Cross Bones bracket 52330-08 if making the bracket I did is too involved.
