How did you decide on your model of M8 Softail?

I wanted one of the new M8 softails badly. So I test-rode all of them except the Fatboy (I had three Fatboys and loved them all but wanted something different).
I did NOT want a Heritage.
After test-riding all the candidates, I gazed deeply inward and was forced to grudgingly admit that the Heritage was head and shoulders above the rest of the crowd.
I bought a 2020 Heritage and messed with the styling until I liked it. I am truly glad I got this bike. It is the best handling, most comfortable, most powerful bike I've ever owned.

I walked into the dealer looking for a Street Bob. After lots of return trips and my own research, I came to the conclusion that the Sport Glide, with ABS, inverted forks, cast wheels, 5 gallon tank, cruise control, and quick detach bags and fairing would be a much more useful bike and a much better value for the money. I can use this bike for anything, and change in up in a minute to suit the situation. On top of that, when I sat on it with the forward controls it just felt right. I considered the Heritage too, which felt as good if not slightly more comfortable, but I really liked the looks of the Sport Glide a lot better.
