Looks good! How do you like the volume on the S&S? I'm looking for a happy medium where I'm definitely better sounding than stock but without the neighborhood needing to know I'm five minutes out. I think the S&S might be the ticket.

I prefer the traditional look of something like the V&H offerings but I'll learn to love the 2>1 if the sound is right.

S&S exhausts, both their slip-ons and full length, are known for performance and a low rumbling, moderate sound. Mine for example are louder than stock or Screamin' Eagle, but quieter than most others, like Bassani, V&H, Rinehart, etc.

They really come alive when you twist the throttle, which I like.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll move the S&S to the top of the wish list..

Default New deadwood green

What’s up. Just wanted to weigh in on the new fxbbs after riding one for a few weeks. First, it’s a really fun ride. I rode it home from the dealership on the highway stock and going 80 mph I was feeling the wind but the bike wasn’t flinching. Felt very grounded. I’m about 6’1, 32 inch inseam, my legs were killing me on the mid controls, in my hips, knees and tailbone. But I like the mids for carving the winding roads. So a set of highway bars or crash pegs would be great for highway. The pipes are very quiet. It handles really well. Great bike.

Congrats - and good commentary. I feel the same. I'm about 5'11", and feel the bike fits great and like the mids well enough. I think the seat was killing me more than the controls, but I've got the Saddlemen on backorder for that
I put the cobra freeway bar on mine and like them so far. I'll go to the garage and take a picture later today.

It's a definitely a "glad I'm wearing a full face helmet" ride at speed with the wind.

Thanks! Yea those highway bars definitely seem helpful, and $100 less than the bung king peg setup. Like em both but appreciate hearing your opinion on the cobra. A pic would be great 🤘

It’s not as loud as a Bassani RR3 but it sounds good when you get on it but quiet enough not to any neighbors on startup.

There are two versions of the S&S the regular version is a lot more quieter then the one with the Race only stamped on it. I had to return the non race version as the dealer ordered and installed the non race and it sounded like the crap HD stock pipes. Non race is also Almost 400 bucks cheaper.

S&S street sport non race part# 550-0789B

S&S street sport race version part #550-0788

You will also need the S&S brake pedal kit to install it on a 21 street bob 114 #560-0259A

I got another week or two before I really get to check one of these out and talk prices but unless my local dealer wants to try to cut $1500+ off the price it looks like I may have to end up getting a used 2019 for the MSRP of a 2021. Fingers crossed they want to move some inventory and make a deal on a new one but I've been checking out my options and it looks like the nearest 2019 is a 2 hour drive away regardless... makes me wish I got the Harley bug earlier lol.
