Default Stage 3

For Those of you who have done a stage three on an FXBB, please tell me your pros and cons. I have a 2020 street bob that I’m thinking about having a stage three done on.

Pros- You're bike will go faster.
Cons- you'll want a Stage 4.

Well it’s actually almost as fast as I want it now. However the service manager at the Harley Davidson shop I bought the bike it said that he would do a stage three for only like a couple hundred dollars more than if I just put a cam in a new set of handlebars on. He’s going to forgo the labor cost and just charge me parts.

Stage 3 128? Now you are getting into probably needing a clutch and a throttle body. Are those included?

Stage 3, huh? Is this a ground up install?

Everyone in here jumps to a stage 2 and then begins to think next stage.

My thoughts, take that new bike and figure out what youre going to build.
The jugs first if you're going to keep adding to the performance.
It's a science.

I’m thinking the stage three would be the very last thing. But I’m wondering if I just need a stage to torque cam. Problem is with the torque cam, and the handlebars. It’s only gonna be about $260 more for the stage three.

I did a stage 3 107 to 114. Very pleased with it. Fan of the SE-498 cam over the stage 2 cams as in more power and range without sacrificing low end torque like the stage 4 cam does. I don't like having to keep the stage 4 cam rpms up to stay in the power range. I like the bigger bore shorter stroke than that of a stock 114 as well. I did add the throttle body. The stock plastic TB sometimes develops issues over time. With an S&S EPA & CARB compliant 2-1 Streetmaster exhaust bought at and done by the dealer at bike purchase / stage 3 install retained full HD warranty. Dealership dynoed it as well 116 HP. Not far off the typical 118 HP stage 4 dyno that I see.
