Some folks may not even need to do that, if theirs is pointed down from dealer setup.

DS Risers
I've just purchased the 5.5in Drag specialty risers as well. Any help with how to reroute the clutch cable would also be appreciated, novice mechanic here and google wasn't helpful... Also anyone have the top clamp bolt dimensions handy?

If installing 5.5" pullback risers on a FXLRS, Just loosen the control clamps to take up the slack in the turn signal wires and pull that slack through the bars is helpful.
So, you do not have to remove the tank since all the existing wires are used and stay plugged in.

Hey guys, so after doing a few long rides with my current risers I’ve decided to put bk 8” risers with 2” pullback. Hoping this will help with comfort on bike. Harley dealer told me this would cost $750 in labour alone. That seems crazy to me ! I already have the risers and would be keeping stock bars, why so expensive ??

Extended upper clutch cable - 37200379 ($89.99)
Extended upper front ABS brake line - 41800721 ($64.99)
Upper brake line adapter - 41600260 ($30.01)
Twist Grip wire extension - 69201804 ($16.50)
Turn Signal wire extension 8" - 69201795 ($16.50) *you'll need 2
Switch wire extension - 69201794 ($29.95) *you'll need 2
I would also get a new set of solid riser bushings for anything above 6.5". Speed Merchant carries a set for $49.95.
As long as you are mechanically inclined enough to remove your gas tank, plug in some wire extensions, replace the upper clutch cable and brake line, you can have it done in your garage in probably 2 hours start to finish. Then you'll just need to get it to a dealer for a proper brake bleed (unless you have the capability at home to do it). The attachments give you some other length options for the clutch cable/brake line. For the second attachment (upper brake line) only the 4 P/Ns in brackets at the bottom are available for the FXLRS so choose your length wisely as there is a huge difference jumping from a 23" line to a 31" line.
Note* Stock length upper clutch cable is 30" and stock length upper brake line is 19" (and this accounts for the stock 4" riser.
