Purchased some KST spearhead 10” bars and was wanting to know if anyone has done similar, if so, are cable extensions necessary.

My wife put 10's on her Deluxe. It cost a fortune for the new cables and installation but she's always put up with me doing whatever mod I wanted to do to all my bikes. She is much more comfortable riding and that is important.

 

got the cable extensions online for about $250 and going to tackle it myself.

You needed extensions for 10inch on those bars? Wire and clutch+brake cable?
I was looking at the KST Pathfinder version of those bars.

 

yes I thought I could get away with it but no. There isn’t much slack on cables and wires. Clutch cable would of been tight if I didn’t route it through the tree.
