Default Lower or not lower Softail Slim?

I just got a 2020 Softail slim and the only thing I don't really care for it the high rear fender. I am looking at this kit to lower the rear.

Has anyone used this? Do most just lower the rear and leave the front alone? Will this screw up the ride and handling of the bike? I have apes, tall sissy bar and side turnout exhaust so the lowered look would fit. I just don't want to mess up a good riding motorcycle for a little better look.
I have never lowered a bike but most my cars and trucks have been lowered.
Thoughts?

Depends what exhaust system you have. My exhaust already scrapes so although I love the look of lowered vehicles I wouldn't touch my bike. If your exhaust has plenty of ground clearance and you aren't going to lose much lean angle then no reason not too.

You could do something else, like modify the rear fender. Keep the ride, get the lowered look? Bigger wheel? @LIMike may be able to offer some ideas. He made his slim look killer.
Sweet looking bike so far, by the way.
