My son has a 2018 fatboy and was complaining about how his bike needs to be louder because he had a problem with peeps not hearing him so this is what I did to fix this problem... I changed my exhaust on my 2017 road glide changed it to a 2 into 1 took my old head pie and cut it up left the cat in and got a tip off of amazon for 15 bucks .

cut it after the cat.


Got a 3 1/2 Id exhaust coupler and cut it into 2 pieces .


Cut about a 1/4 inch out and slipped it over the pipe. My welder was broken that is why I did this .



this is the tip I used.

then bolted it on put the original chrome back on and done 2 into one for 15 bucks and a couple of hours of fab time ..

 

 

That's the first two into one that I think looks RIGHT on this bike... well done. I'd buy that in in black.

Any other photos before/after? Curious how much lower that exhaust is, and if it will drag on hard right leaning turns...

 

I don’t know if it hits when you lean.. haven’t seen him sense I finished his bike... I hear him .... the sound of the bike from stock is so much better and it now sounds like a Harley instead of a can opener.. I left the cat in to supply back pressure to the engine and it now sounds like it has a cam in it . My M8 doesn’t sound as good as his .. the pipe is in the stock lower pipe location...
