I extended mine 1’’ with D&K Customs. I have scraped a few times but not the boards themselves. There is ( I believe) a chrome Acorn nut which is for scraping in my view. One time i scraped and it popped my foot off the floorboard LOL. Don’t let that bother you, the comfort you achieve is well worth it.
If anyone knows about the acorn nut, Hulkss will know.
Hey Hulkss, do you find yourself scraping with your extended floorboards? I've been waffling on getting some.
I was scraping the stock floor boards. That said, the extensions I used are only .75" so you don't loose much cornering clearance. The main reason for them was a little room on the air cleaner side and the ability to flip the shift levers as I showed in an earlier post. After I put on the Fox Shock (a little longer than Heritage stock length) I have not noticed any need for more clearance.
Here's the brake side Deluxe footboard with the same extensions as I posted about earlier. The extensions are just enough so I don't notice the air cleaner.
I've added a +1" Softbrake lever and a heel guard. The heel guard gives the same foot position feedback as the heel shift lever on the other side, plus, it keeps your foot off the exhaust pipe.
Now my feet rest in the same position on each side. The the brake is easy to apply and works with good stopping power. Probably due to the longer lever.

Hulkss, can you give us an update on the fox shock , any further comments ?
I really like it. It works great for me on the rough back roads around here. I ride solo with a tourpak and saddlebags. If you are riding two-up with a lot of luggage you should call Fox and ask about a slightly stiffer spring.
Hulkss, before I put my battery tray back in, I'm considering drilling a hole in the top of the tray so that ill always have access to the positive terminal, just in case I need to check voltage, jumpstart the bike, etc... Any thoughts? Sent you a PM but couldn't attach a pic. Drill through the red circle to have access?
