They will fix under warranty....
you're missing a fair amount of fork oil that should be replaced, unless (bit unlikely) it was overfilled. That should be fixed.

My new Slim was delivered to me this week (dealer not currently open to customers). In the delivery truck there was a Street Bob. The customer had rejected delivery for it because the RH fork seal was weeping..

I wonder what would have caused this?

No it was my ‘94 FLSTN and the forks probably had about 100,000 miles since their last rebuild.

Default Fork Seal

I just took my 2020 Heritage 114 in for its 10k maintenance and had it blow a fork seal next day. You posted this in April. Have you had any issues since? Mine just happened yesterday.

Thanks!

Not so far, knock on wood. When you get yours repaired, have them show you the fork seal. As you can see in my earlier post showing my fork seal, it was damaged. I would be interested in knowing if yours is showing the same damage or not.

I can only surmise it was damaged during installation or assembly.

Default Fork seal

I forgot to ask to look at the seal when I went to pick up my bike. They told me it had to be something to do with the way it was installed on the assembly line. That still doesn't make it any better but it was repaired.

Yeah, that’s probably it. Thanks!

Another one for the blown right fork seal crew. Out for a ride with the missus yesterday, stopped for a coffee and steam/smoke coming from my engine, noticed the whole right side was covered in oil, was kind of freaking out but then I saw oil on the front fender also so I knew oil hadn't been travelling forward while riding so must've been from the forks. Got it home and pulled the gaiters off and the right one had a heap of oil inside.
I'm still within warranty period but I don't like handing my bike over to other people to work on, been burned too many times.
