Default 2018 Fatboy tire wear seems excessive

My 2018 Fatboy is going through both front and rear tires in 5000-6000 miles, this seems excessive to me. feel like i should get more miles out of them. Anyone else having this same experience?

Yes seems to be the norm, my front was gone after 5500klms and the rear after 7500klms. Trouble is get a longer lasting tyre with the 160 front. But do want to stick with a designed 160 front. The scorchers other than wear are great

Seems fast. Keeping tire pressures up?

My Fat Boy would lose psi day to day.

When traded for my FXDR they filled the tires with Nitrogen and I haven't needed to top up much.

I am at 5,5xx miles and I'm guessing I'm halfway through my rear tire. Same rear as on the Fat Boy.

I’m not there yet, as I only have about 2k miles on mine, but I’m considering trying ME888’s when I need to replace mine. The 160 they have is a rear, but if you mount it directionally reverse from the drive arrow, it should work fine on the front.

5 to 6k is about right, the Michelins are sticky.

Do your self a favor and find an alternative for the 888s. I had a set that were made in china and they came apart, total junk...

thanks for the tip.

just about everyone makes a 240/18 for the rear, but a 160/18 seems to be the oddball. Might have to go down to a 150/18 if the 888s are no good.

One of the reasons I got rid of my Fat Boy, as beautiful as the bike is, there is only one set of tires available for it.

I didn't like them either!

The Michelin Scorchers I actually liked.. Just curious, why change? I had the 888s on my Trophy Sport tourer... OMG I got less than 1000 miles on em.. They were so bad the installer swapped em and Metz gave them a nightmare. The shop said they wouldnt let me ride on them..

Honestly, not having choices always pisses me off. I always prefer to find the right tire for me for my bike.

For example, with my ‘04 Triumph, the ride totally improved when I replaced the stock Metzeler bias ply crap with Bridgestone radials. I just like having choices...

Unhappy Excessive wear front wheel and brake vibration

Does anyone knows how to solve or the cause of this excessive front tire wear? On my fatboy 114 2019, I´ve a similar problem and always the right side of the tire comes with excessive wear. HD already changed on warranty the front tire, but It had started again and now with a new problem.. excessive front brake vibration.
