In my case I was able to improve the fit slightly by pressing the push nut on tighter with a small socket. The end still sticks out but about half as much as it did before.
Just some of the joys of Harley-Davidson ownership I guess.
never new there is something like push nut. How exactly did you do it you put socket over stud from the trim and pushed it in?
