Where does it say 20%? I want a set of the rear crash bars but I don’t see any discount... :-(

Edit: never mind, I’m. A big dope. Right there on the front page. Duh.

Oh snap someone has this. Mind if I ask how close to keeping the primary cover off the pavement that crashbar comes?
I got it saved in my wishlist.

Default Food for thought

Here is an example of the Bung King and the aftermath after the bike crashed. A low MPH crash and lots of leverage. Think & do what you like.

The bars from H-D are designed with the intent to bend before frame damage ocurrs. I've seen a number of them bent with no frame damage.

I was wondering about those straight bars stabbing into the road. The rounded H-D bars slide on the road.

from videos I’ve seen on YouTube of their other bars on dyna as, it’s pretty close, but critical parts don’t touch.

I think you are going to see a variety of results from different crashes, different bars. Like Moose, I got mine for a foot sliding out at a stop on an errant oil or sand spot, or a stupidity based parking lot drop. If it goes down at any real speed, then that's what insurance is for...

Knowing that no two crashes are alike I would not hold pictures of a single crash as the rule of thumb with bars like the BK. There are two great videos on youtube one of which is the accident and the bike goes down and slides, the other is the Aftermath. Do I expect this to happen every time? No, but like @Mchad and @Moose328 I got mine for that oops moment, and I have seen a few of those almost was in one myself and it only cost me a partially torn hamstring saving the bike.

Video of the crash
Video of the aftermath

I'm torn between the traditional engine guard and the mustache guard for my 15' slim. leaning toward the mustache guard.

Personally I think Mustash looks more aggressive on the fatter looking bikes.
Lindby's mustache version will probably be the best looking on a 15 Slim, depending on the bike's color. But it is rather expensive though.

I just installed the mustache style on my 2020 Low Rider, I think they look sweet.
