I've got RCX slipons with maybe 150 miles on them. Chrome with black tips. They were too loud for me...I replaced them with Street Cannons. Available if someone wants them at a healthy discount.

Cobra NH

loudness :5 (nicely there at idle, can make loud on command - still has good tone)
sound: 5 (more deep than crackle, but not muddy)
quality: 10 (no issues, look good if you like the bell end)
perf: 8 (no dip, maybe slight boost)

You've commented on the V&H Slash Cuts and Eliminators before. Could you provide some scores for those too. How they score from the same rater's perspective would be informative. Also, presume the NH's are on your Heritage. If so, got pics?

As for ratings..

300
loud: 6
sound:4.5
quality 10

slash cut
loud 6.5
sound 6
quality 9

cant Judge perf as I didn’t have enough seat time. The 300 were similar to the NH with a nice deep tone, but that category I prefer the lower end of the scale towards “deep”

Just input from browsing the youtubes... But +1 vote for the neighbor haters. They sound pretty aggressive, and pretty awesome.

Vance & Hines Slash Cut are the only ones I can comment on. I added Thunder torque Inserts for more low end.

Loudness 6
Sound 8
Quality 8
Performance w/o TTI's 6 with TTI's 8.

Peace.

I have a pair of Tab Performance, w/quiet baffles (2.25”) which I use while waiting for a proper 2:1 pipe to arrive...

Not too loud, but you definitely hear them. Probably twice as loud as SE’s: 5
Great sound, deep with a nice (I hate this term but there’s really no better) “bark” when you get on the throttle: 5
Great quality, just bit plain looking: 10
Great performance. No 2:1 obviously, but best I’ve found of all the models I’ve tried (stock, SE, 300’s and Rinehart 3.5’s): 8

So the NH's are the quietest. Even quieter than the 300s. Interesting - especially given the name. Muddy is a good term. That's what came to mind when I listened to V&H's own video on the 300s. Then again, I've watched other videos of the 300s and they seem to have a deep tone/sound at idle, but rolling on the throttle they sounded raspy. I just haven't come across any videos of the 300s that sound that good.

I'm not surprised that the V&H Slash Cuts are the loudest in your mix. The videos that I've came across suggest that they may be a little louder than others (one of the loudest options). Sound-wise - I do think V&H Slash Cuts are one of the best sounding ones that I've listened to. However, I've been riding the Heritage around this summer with just the stock exhaust. I have to admit that I'm kinda of liking the quietness of it. It has me leaning towards getting something toned down/quieter for the Heritage.

The videos I've heard so far suggest that the RCX 3.0s and the Cobra NHs sound very similar - both in loudness and sound/tonal quality. If the Cobra NHs are on the lower end of loudness and similar to the RCXs then those two might be what I look at. I'm not sure I dig the bell/flare end on the NHs, so maybe an edge to the RCXs. Meh... hard to say.
