Yeah I've done it several times. I was just saying there's not any real adjustment, I.e. you can't tighten or loosen it beyond what the spring wants. That's all.

The new "adjuster" is probably a good innovation, but like many of us, we're used to the old system. I'm happy the way the spring loaded adjuster works, but Mike's trick might be to some folks liking.

Please take pics and post this up when you do it. I too bought a Fat Bob shock and plan to replace the side cover, but probably won't get to it until the weather warms up (too many bikes and crap in the garage to work inside).
Great deal on the Shorai, BTW. Cheapest way to shed pounds off your scoot too!

The battery has to be removed to make room for the adjuster install, so I am going to put the Shorai battery in cause it's easier to deal with. The tall shock install is going to wait till I install a 2-into-1 exhaust. The inexpensive floor jack I use makes it easy to raise the bike up after the shock bolts are removed for clearance, the reverse applies when installing the new shock.

The **** on the external shock adjuster hits the rear pipe on the stock FXLRS exhaust.

I can't quite see, and haven't so much as removed my battery side cover to check, but are there mounting points for the shock adjuster on the frame?
Agree about hitting the pipe. I'll probably stage the shock install with the pipe install so it all gets done at once. Right now I'm deciding if I should do a cam with everything and hold off till that's settled.
