Today I added a GPS to the bike. I'm an ADV rider/owner and while I don't need all the bags, lights and other stuff, I reeeeeeeeeeally missed the GPS. Phones suck ***** for so many reasons I won't get into. So I took advantage of that little space, bolted on a ball plate with a small arm. With that I can pretty much mount anything that accepts a RAM mount.

Went down to the HD dealer, bought the accessory kit, purchased a second mount for my BMW Nav VI unit and wired it up as an accessory device. The pictures don't illustrate how clean and nice it looks. Turned out awesome!

I’d be really interested in hearing how. I’m not a Facebook user, but if you happen to find it, please post a link.

Thanks.

Honestly can't remember where I read it, but I remember thinking of you posting that yours didn't fit. Just forgot to circle back and share. Been a busy few weeks with the bike stuff.

Changed upper brake line only. From manifold under triple tree to MC. It’s a HD part. Line and adapter can be ordered by your dealer.

i used 8” extensions for the right handlebar switch pack, and the smallest TBW extensions which I think was 12”. The left pack was a new cruise control pack, which has a much longer wire then stock, so no extension needed for that. Stuffed extra length into the frame no problem. If you are leaving the sigs on the bars, you may need to extend them as well, depending on how tall you go. The same kit for the switches will work for the sigs. Same JAE connectors...
Which brand of wire extensions did you use? Do you have a link to the TBW and right side pack you purchased? I also installed the Cruise, so no need to extend my left side....just my signals potentially.

Harley parts. Dealer parts guy ordered for me. About $30 worth. I don’t have PN’s, sorry.

Well I’m gonna just call the dash good for now, other than some stainless hardware. Kinda tired of playing with it for the time being. Trimmed as small as I could comfortably go without fear of the gauges bouncing around with every bump, different brand of rattle can gloss black, and a cheapo emblem I found at the clearance table at the dealer. Grand total after the emblem and another can of rattle can is still under $20.

Nice clean installation on the GPS. And with your road speed displayed no need to duck your head to the tank mounted instruments
