Glad I went with the flat. I thank forum member toolmaker as that’s were I got the idea. It wasn’t so much for glare I just like the way it looks. My fxrt is gloss. No glare problems.

Put the stock size windshield on just to see how it looks. The clear view xl does a great job but figure why not. Feels like a t- sport 😂

Also stopped at the dealer to pick up black levers as I am not a fan of hand guards or shorty levers.

So which one is better in terms of wind protection?
And which one feels more sturdy when installed on the bike? any difference?

Short windshield . Felt like the bike was naked 😂. No buffeting but loud head wind. Great for back roads. No so good for highway.

Clear view xl windshield . Great for the highway!

Fxrt vs st fairing. The fxrt fairing provides more torso wind protection. As far as head wind the st with the clear view xl does a great job. About the same as the fxrt. If you are looking for the best wind protection lowers with the fxrt is the way to go.The st fairing bolts up good and solid no movement whatsoever. The fxrt does move a little when you hit bumps. No big deal. Both fairing’s do a great job.

I find that the bike had more personality with the FXRT fairing, now you have an FXLRST like many others apart from the saddlebags....
But for me I prefere the OEM look with the small windshield which gives a sportier look...
On the other hand, it is necessary to see which is the most effective for protection...

Really like the fat boy floor boards. Definitely one of my favorite mods.

Yes they look great and they are wider in the front side than the Heritage's ones, I would like to have a pair like that on my Heritage, but they are to much pricy...
