I like it. Maybe swap out the trim on the gauges to something black and put trim around the back plate. What did you do with the console?

Thank you. I painted the back of the gauges black I and was going to do the trim ring as well. Once it’s cut down to final size and painted I’m going to file the edge to give the edge a contrast. I knew it would all come out for some tweaking so I just left them alone for now. I am going to plastidip them and the the tail light trim as well. I left the dash big to hang my cell phone mount from still but it just got in the way of the gauges so that’s what I ended up filling the old gauge spots with. Cell phone mount in the the old speedo spot and usb cord in the old tach spot. I’ll get a pic tomorrow. I toyed with the notion of just cutting a slit in the bottom of one of my small tank bags and just slide it over the bracket and ditching the tank console all together. Gonna roll with this setup for a bit and see how it works out. It can all go back to stock in ten minutes if needs be.

The diamond plate doesn't look too bad, especially if you plan to use it in other places on the bike.

The reverse side of the dash is the diamond plate as well. One side is smooth the other is diamond plate. I went back and forth on what side to use for both.

I’ve got a gloss black dash console from my Low Rider. You could weld in some fillers, sand it down smooth and have the whole thing texture black powdered... If you want it to mess around with and not risk your original, you can have it for shipping cost...

Has anyone looked into trying the blackline console to see if it would work? That would make it a lot cleaner.

If you can get the console from the Blackline to fit properly . And work on 2 or 3 more revisions to the gauge cluster plate . I think you will have to send some pictures to the motor company to give them something to think about .

edit: apparently Black Betty just didn’t like the gauges being disconnected overnight. Cleared codes and all is well.
Mine threw a bunch of codes when I changed out the handlebars. Lesson learned - disconnect battery BEFORE disconnecting wires.
