Looks awesome!

Did you have black rocker box lowers fitted? The stock silver ones on mine were pitted a month after I bought mine so I’m looking at getting the black ones.

Fine Italian leather from Ends Cuoio, Motorcycle leather Saddlebags: Harley Davidson® & Indian® - Ends Cuoio! Email them, see if you can get a discount code, awesome customer service! I bought these bags December 2019 shipped to Washington State. The discount code help a little with shpping cost. Also, you do not need to relocate the turn signals.

I noticed they were compatible with the stock tail lights. That's one reason they got my attention. They look good too.

A little over $1K shipped, I never regretted the cost.

Sweet ride TeeJayEe! To answer your question regarding rocker lower, I did not change to black. Not sure why yours came with chrome, I notice you are in London not sure why the difference USA vs. other markets.

Thanks! Can’t believe I hadn’t noticed before but you’ve got a point... I’d assumed they were supposed to be chrome (or ‘bright silver’ as I think HD calls it). I’ve just Googled and even in the HD press shots they’re black.

I’m going to have a word with my dealership and hopefully they can switch them out since the black looks better and presumably wouldn’t corrode like the silver.

I came from a ‘93 Low Rider so might not be much help.

Out the box you’re getting a more powerful, better handling bike but obviously the parts exist to close that gap if you have the time/money/inclination.

I don’t regret the switch at all, I’m really happy with the FXLRS. However the M8 doesn’t ‘feel’ like a Harley. Nor does it sound like one. A cam and exhaust helps some, but to me they don’t have the character and sound of even a TC Harley, let alone an Evo.

But I’ve learned to appreciate it for what it is and whilst I do miss that Harley sound, and the skinnier rear tyre on the FXR/Dyna, I don’t think I’d sacrifice the smooth ride, the ABS and the torque just to get that character back. The M8 is an awesome motor, and for me the FXLRS is just about the perfect bike.
