Moved the sigs from the bars down to the forks today. I finally got the 59mm clamps I ordered from Australia today, so I got to work. I got some 5/8” anodized AL spacers, bolted them together and clamped them up.

Looks pretty good, not quite as good as the HD 49mm relo kit I’ve been using for years, but it’ll do. I have to replace the SS clamp bolts with some black ones, so I ordered those as well. I’m also debating shortening the spacers a bit, they may look better a bit closer in to the fork.

According to the manufacturer, I got the last set they had, but I asked if they planned on making more, I haven’t gotten a response, which isn’t encouraging. If they respond yes, I’ll post it here so anyone else who may want to try this, can order a set. I want a couple more for myself, as backup and do experiment with different designs, Maybe I’ll market a kit!

Here are some photos:

These are the clamps.

The signals look good. I would definitely trim the spacers down as much as possible. The location is great but they do stick out a bit for sure.

Can you snap a picture of the headlight mount? How is it different than normal? I just got the JDs T Sport fairing, but have not yet seen the bike. They say the fairing will bolt on just like on other M8 Softails.

Yeah, they are 1.5”. I just ordered 1” and 3/4” to see which looks better.

the headlight mounts to the lower tree using two bolts, unlike past models that use a single. I’ll get a pic later today when I get back from my ride. I was going to try to get 350 more miles on by tomorrow so I can have them do my 1k service at the same time as my cam install (psyched!) but I don’t think I’ll be able, with football today and all. And also it may be better to let the new cam and lifters run in the Dino oil for those 350 before I drop in Red Line everywhere.

So maybe the Road King will get some attention today, as I’ve need ignoring her recently. :-(

I'm stoked, I got a call yesterday that a dealer has a silver one coming in. They are about 2 hours from me, but the local dealers are marking up bikes and not really giving much info as to when they will be here. The silver one should be mine and he says it is shipping to them on the 30th. *fingers crossed*
I already have a pile of parts sitting here with more coming each day.

I wonder if the turn signals would fit in the brackets without the spacers. Looks like it would fit nice and flush with plenty of clearance, did you try not using the spacers at all? I agree they stick out way too far.

I modeled the distance to the standard HD 49mm relo kit, but that kit is much more “flowing” is the only word I can think of. I plan on moving them in, not sure about flush though. Pretty sure they would fit, but I think they need a little outboard spacing. Just not an inch and a half. I’m thinking half as far would be good.

Im going to wait for the black clamp screws to arrive before I take it off again. Next week we should have an update.

Mchad, your bike is gorgeous. You’ve convinced me to trade my Fat Bob in for a Low Rider S. Thanks for keeping us apprised of your progress with the new bike.

I’m curious about the Rinehart exhaust. Is it super loud? I certainly want more volume than stock, but I also don’t like blasting the neighborhood or having to throw in earplugs when I’m going for a short ride. It certainly looks good! Did you consider the black Bassani Road Rage II 2 into 1?

Its amazing the stuff I have laying around... I found the same spacers I used, only 3/16” long, so I tried them out. Much better. See below. Still have to fine tune the alignment, but good!

I have no idea what that is. I initially thought “bloody rag” but I don’t recall any wounds that day...

I appreciate the comment!

The pipe is loud, but it’s not nearly as loud as those short shots or thunderheader or some other known “loud” pipes. Also not as loud as the Road Rage W/Quiet baffle I had on my FXR. I haven’t needed earplugs with my 3/4 helmet, I do use them if I i’m in my half though, but that’s for wind mostly. It’s a great sounding pipe,

Back to the turn sig relo. Here they are now.
