My plan is to use this for day or longer trips and take it off to race you

Oh, can probably make your own Velcro tabs slightly larger for better hold.
Maybe that is why the other guy had problems.
As for racing me, that's an easy win for you, mine won't even start.
Sure looks purty sittin there though.

It’s only held on by the 2 bottom Allen bolts that screw into the nose fairing. I used 3mm(1/8th inch) aluminium plate so it sturdy enough and secure.

Oberon make some too, for cable and hydraulic clutches.

I’m trying to do the same thing. There’s no mount available yet that fits a headlight bucket with stock fairing. There’s a company in the process of making a mount but they haven’t finished yet. I’ll keep everyone posted when I get mine to see if it works.

I ordered the Street Bob bucket, spacer ring and ordered the Defiance collection black trim ring. I will report back if everything fits as expected.

Is there a fairing the looks similar to stock that is slightly higher ? I'm getting destroyed by wind at 120+ and really could use something to hunker down behind. Haven't done any research on them but I've seen lots of bracket issues, etc so what a nice simple set up that bolts on that isn't a huge fairing?

Look at post #1008
They say you can use plastic hardware to keep it on if you're going to go that fast. I thought just bigger Velcro would help too.

Wow ive never seen a set up like that , very interesting. Curious as to how it holds up and difference it makes.
