I know you didn't ask me specifically but since as Red Green says, "we're all in this together", I'll pitch in to answer you. You're a bit taller then me, with a longer inseam. At 6'1" I had to put an Explorer seat on it to set me up higher and further back. The risers moved the bars up and back enough to make it very comfortable for me.

6 feet tall. The risers took my fatboy to another level in comfort. Someday I may go for a new seat too.

The Fat Boy I am currently looking at, is a 2019 107ci, not a 114ci - private sale. Anyone have a chance to ride both? I wonder if there is any noticeable difference in the engines? I doubt I will be able to have the time to ride a 114ci before I have to pull the trigger, or not. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have the 114 and my son has the 107. I have ridden both. When taking off from the line the 107 seems quicker with a quicker pull. The 114 seems to have more grunt and strength. Not really sure how to explain it exactly so I tried my best for you.

But, I'm happy I have the 114 instead of the 107.

I am familiar with the quick acceleration and pull from a 107 - my Street Glide has one and I love that engine. I can imagine that the 114 has a bit more power, but is it that noticeable? Must be, because you said you are happy you have the 114.

Rolled mine out last night for Taco Tuesday & was reminded on what a great bike this is. The 114 pulls great & the bike just looks awesome every time I look at it. Still waiting for the warranty to part ways before adding a set of V&H Short Shorts to open up the rear to get a better look at the beautiful wheel.

107 is a "Short Throw" engine design where as the 114 is a Long throw
Meaning the 107's is intentionally a shorter stroke, which means it responds faster to throttle input.
but it has less total power. And the 107 has less total reciprocating mass.
The 114 stage3 upgrade is more powerful than the stock 114, but because it has a shorter stroke, it responds quicker.
It's a response time thing rather than a power thing.
The advantage of the 114 base version is that it has access to much larger displacement options, and more total power.

Thanks very much for helping me understand the difference!
