I got new key cut by friends who is safe cracker. Now I have this thing in order after cutting key and adding missing liner/carpet. I feel quality is good as I closely inspected this thing and I feel I will be happy with OEM thing. I like the fact that it match bags and seat but probably I will change seat later on.

Got follow up question for owners of OEM tourpack, what I noticed is after I close the tourpack (with key or without) the lid still moves up and down about 1/2” - not the deal breaker for me but when I will ride on uneven surface I expect this lid to make clunking noise.
Initially I thought after I will lock it with key it will take care of this loose but looks like locking arm of the lock is not even touching c-clamp to take care of that. Any ideas?
Do you guys have same thing?

I just bought a new HD Tour Pak for my 2018 FLHCS (Heritage 114). The 2-up mounting rack will be shipped in a few days. The bag itself was in stock at my local HD dealer.
I looked at the Viking model, but it's too big for me. 2580 in3 on the HD and over 4000 in3 on the Viking. The Viking looks like a big balloon on the back to me. I also like the surface looks of the HD model (studs to match saddle bags and seat). The mounting/rack mechanism is also better on the HD model. You have to have a pretty large rack on the back to effectively mount the Viking model and have to bolt/unbolt it to take it on/off. The HD model mounting rack uses the "HoldFast" detachable mounting kit which is a quick on/off system. I have the same "HoldFast" system on my rack/sissy bar that I had installed when I bought the bike.
Sure, the HD Tour Pak is lots more expensive ($675 plus $200 for rack) vs the Viking ($350 plus $150? for some kind of rack). That makes it about a $400 premium for the HD Tour Pak. I believe it's worth it. To each his own...

I picked up the HD tourpack with the holdfast detachable kit so when I go on long rides im ready. I like it as it matches the bike more.

I got a Viking tour bag on my 2018 Heritage Classic and put one on my wife's 2017 Deluxe. I bought the Harley OEM solo tour pak mount for it. Installing it is a bit of a chore . Just do your best to find the centerline of the bottom of the tour pack and the centerline of the bracket. The chore part is finding the centerline of the tourpack bottom. The seams were not exact on both sides.
Then mount your bracket on the bike and sit on the bike. Have someone move the bag forward or back until you find the right spot. Mark it and drill it, BUT don't forget to take the internal bottom liner out first I have driven mine and it is adjusted as far forward as I can get it. It works great. Wear a jacket that you would be wearing on a tour when you get down to finding the sweet spot for the bag.
