Default Can I do this

I have a mechanic friend who is helping me install the Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes and the fuel pack and the big breather I bought. My question is.......I can do all this stuff myself, but he owns a shop so any help is very appreciated. I was looking to throw the air breather on before I bring the bike out to him. Will running the bike with the air breather on it without the fuel pack cause any issues. He's like a 10 mile ride away from me. Just looking to do a little work to save him some time or is it easier to do the breather after putting the pipes to allow more working space?

I was apprehensive about changing my first exhaust until I changed my first exhaust. Now its like changing shoes. However if you want to do it at your friends shop, a 10 min ride with the new air cleaner won't hurt a thing.

The air cleaner is the biggest part of that job... The pipes are a 15 minute install.

I think 15 min is a bit optimistic to R&R an exhaust on a bike. Air cleaner however, is a half dozen bolts. I can change one in less then those 15 min. But still, the point is they both are easy jobs. But we have to understand for someone who has never done it before it can be intimidating. Thats the beauty of YouTube. Plenty of videos to watch to pre-familiarize oneself.

Edit: Unless you are talking about slip-ons. I was talking about a full exhaust.
