Default FXBB turn signal relocation

Want to move my front turn signals from the bars to the forks on my FXBB. Can anyone give me an idea of what all I will need? Will the OEM 49 mm kit for the XL1200 sportsters work?

I used the chrome 49mm Dyna kit for mine. It came with new reflectors and cables which is the more important part as the stock sigs only have that short pigtail to the switch pack.

I picked up a black aftermarket kit (below) to change to black sigs as per my current direction with my bike, and the quality is pretty indistinguishable from OEM. Only problem is these don’t come with the reflectors and cables. But for my purpose I can remove the ones in my current, already relocated sigs. Otherwise you’ll need to pick up a set of reflector assemblies.

Nope. They are designed to work with the triple tree clamp bolts, which are facing a different direction on FXBB.

I used universal clamps and relocated them, was one of the first things I did when I got the FXBB

How did you route the wires to the harness?

They are connected behind the rubber grommet on the left front of the fueltank, you disconnect them and pull the complete wire out of the handlebar and then reconnect
thats it. The rest of the wire you can hide behind that grommet , it shows the easiest and cleanest route behind the headlight wen you at it, nothing to it.

At this time I also have led inserts in, looks way better imo.

These work great. Used them on my Low Rider, same forks.

Or if you want them a little tighter in, there’s something like this,

I used 59mm versions for my LRS.
