FWIW having the flash patterns during initial braking is a very good thing. I changed my stock brake light on all the Harleys to the BAL, Brightasslights, light. 20+ patterns to choose from although only a few are "DOT legal". The others they list as "parade". 3 levels of tail light intensity and very bright attention getting brake light and functions.

 

I missed the light show from my 2014 Street Glide, all LED's and bag lights too.
Just installed the CD Triple Play on my Low Rider yesterday, does a good job of lighting up the garage when I hit the brakes and like the added running lights.
Went for a ride yesterday and survived so I'm doing good.

 

Mine arrived today, but I have to wait to install. CD called me yesterday after I spoke to them on Wed about my Brake/Turn being enabled on the BCM. They told me that they looked further into it and they were mistaken, it would NOT work with the B/T enabled. So I have to go to the dealer to have them disable it with the digital tech. Oh well, no harm. Just a slight delay.

I appreciated they followed up, even though they were initially wrong. Great company...!
