I liked the sound of the Fat Cat I heard in person but just didn't want to deal with the scraping so it was a deal breaker for me. It does sit a bit higher but it was confirmed by the guy who let me listen to the Fat Cat that it scrapes on his Fat Bob. Good performing and sounding pipe, just wasn't willing to give up the lean angle any longer.
Confirmation of an M8 Softail Fat Cat scraping, good info! Since you have heard the Fat Cat and the Super Street in person, what is the comparison of loudness and tone in your opinion?

Sorry I can't give much on it but from what I remember, the Fat Cat was a bit louder at idle but the deep rumble seems to be pretty similar when reving it up a bit. I didn't get to ride with the guy and hear the Fat Cat cruising or while opening it up so I can't say anything about that.
The Superstreet without the dB reducer is definitely louder at idle and while reving it up. I could feel the booming in my chest almost like the bass on a huge sub woofer at a concert. It was super mean sounding but too deafening while riding and I was probably pissing everyone off the few rides I took without the reducer installed.
Been reading a few threads and noticed some of you are running the S&S Super Street. Just bought a 114 Fat Bob Wednesday and I already find myself planning mods and the engine build. My question about the pipe is different than most. Do any of you have a dyno chart you would share? I am not interested in peak numbers, mainly want to see the torque curve it produces. There are quite a few short stubby pipes out there and I do not like them because most cause a low rpm torque loss, I ride hard and enjoy torque when hammering it out of the curves. The S&S seems to be a mid length and I like the looks of it but would love to see a torque curve from a bike using this pipe. If its too soft down low I will have to go with the Fat Cat.
I saw the chart on the S&S site but was hoping to see a real world pull on the dyno. Probably end up buying this pipe since the Fat Cat scrapes, or I may look into a Thrashin pipe
