Default Holes in Fat Boy Wheels?

Has anybody thought of having some holes drilled/machined in our new Fatboy wheels like the 2008-2017 models had in them to help with the wandering when a large truck or motorhome goes by?

Ok please think about this a bit. The solid wheels on some Fatboys are not effected by the wind. That is another internet myth. MY FB is 23 years old and has been ridden in some very nasty weather the solid wheels do not effect it one bit.

Hadn't thought about it but it would need to be done very precisely or else balancing them might require more weight than would be advisable. Sounds like something a machine shop would need to do. I'm thinking it would be extremely expensive to do. Might look good though

If you're going fast enough the wholes are revolving so fast it doesn't matter.

I think that it would look to busy with the cut outs that are already in the wheels. I wouldn't muck with it, $.02

Thanks all, Just liked the looks of the holes in my 2012 and felt like it did not move around nearly as much as my 2006 did without the holes when a big truck goes by, could be all in my head though.

The HD Ford truck rims resemble the current FB rims but with the cutouts. Won't be long before HD throws a set of them on the next iteration/update to the current M8 Fat Boy.

Wouldn't that look good with an '18/'19 Fatboy in the bed! Can't tell if those are holes though. That front right wheel makes it look like they are painted red?

Might it not help to add a few holes to other areas of the bike? Maybe ones head. .? haa. I know a lot of people sure believe what you say. First thing they said to my friend when he brought his new Fatboy in for service.

Tin man started this for sure

Get one of thoes three wheel bearing spinner toys and give it a spin and notice it is resistant to turn while spinning do to the gyroscope effect. I believe the rider probably causes way more problem with wind then the rims. Just an opinion of course...

Depends on the angle, on this snap from a YT video review you can clearly see that the rims have the cut outs as you can see the light on the ground. My local Ford just got one the other day, my bud is a sales guy there so I'm going to check it out in person. But for almost $100,000, no thanks!!
