Yeah, I found that footboards transformed the bike, especially for high speed, long distance travel.

One last question about the Hex footboards. I'm about to order them and like the look of the chrome that you have. I'm concerned if I scrape them the chrome will soon look bad. If I get their satin black ones then it would leave me the option of touching up the black paint.
Have you scraped up the bottoms or edges while leaning the bike?

Thanks,

Hi guys, I have kind of a dilemma. Currently own a 2021 Low Rider S but find it a bit uncomfortable for my needs. So would need a new seat, passenger pegs, risers, forward controls, still need something like a swingarm bag etc. Total cost about 1.500 - 2.000 euro, depending on how much I change. Now dealer has offered me a (brand new - 0km) SportGlide for about 1.500 euro when I trade in my FXLRS. So I would get all the comfort I need, decent bag options and an equally good looking bike but more comfortable for less than what I would pay to mod the LRS. Of course, I would lose the 114 and have a 107 then.

Good choice? Would I notice the change in engine a lot? I suppose the SportGlide is in fact quite a bit more comfy, tested one before but of course only for a short ride.

Not much different. Ad a torque cam and you will have more guts than a 114.

Keep in mind with the SportGlide you may still end up changing the seat and risers as many do, I wouldn't worry too much about the 107 vs the 114.

Ditto. I like both bikes but SG is more comfortable to me. I like the ABS, cruise control & USB port for my phone gps. The bags are great and the fairing just needed a windshield. These two have several to choose from.

After throwing half a dozen different shields at this bike now, including lower deflectors, I've decided the stock shield is the best for me as far as getting clean air, albeit a lot of it. I love how the fairing looks but I am looking for more wind protection and less buffeting so I have ordered a Memphis Shades Fats Drop Top. It has a venturi attachment at the top which is supposed to help with buffeting. Their customer service seems to be a little... lacking as I can't get an email back or anyone to answer the phone. Who knows when I'll get it, but I'll be sure to post updates here when I do.

I'm at the same place as you. Can't solve the buffeting. I ride without it. Thinking Memphis Fats may be better.

I use the 15” smoked Gustafson which has two vents at the base of the shield. No buffeting problems but there is still air that comes over the tank. They have lowers for that but I have not used them.

I have a 12 inch Slipstreamer that I drilled six , 1 inch holes across the bottom. I also have the Gustafson lowers witch were a waste of money, did nothing in my opinion. I think it has something to do with the shape and the severe angle of the shield. The only positive is that it looks good, if not I would drive over it with my van.
