I feel an enormous improvement over stock fairing with stock windshield or 5.5" or 10" windscreen (I would have returned the MS fairing otherwise).
At first i had very annoying buffeting (at 30+ mph) because of air coming from under the tank. This is due to the negative pressure created by the batwing (Street Glide has fairing vent since project rushmore to combat that).
It all disappeared when I installed HD soft lowers because they blocked most of the air coming from below.
I can now ride with FF helmet with visor up until i reach 50mph then close the visor at higher speeds. That makes riding with FF helmet in town or at lower speed very comfortable especially when it's warm/hot weather.
Love that larger fairing look! I’m getting ready to do the same and wondering if you cut the turn signal wires to pull them out of the handle bars? Or pulled tank to find the end connection of wires? Thanks

I just installed the memphis shades batwing and the top of the fairing is about even with the bottom of mirrors. I installed the standard 5" windshield. I will try and post a picture. I am however replacing the 5" with the 9" spoiler windshield. Should recieve it this week. The 5" only topped out at my shoulders and the wind hits me at eye level. I think the 9" will get the wind above my helmet. I'm 5'10" for reference. Stock seat also.

I really like the look of that Memphis Shades Batwing fairing ,I am only 5 feet short so may need a little taller shield along with it to keep the wind off me.
I did see the Klock Werks wind screen that looks nice.
Hopefully I will have some more pics to share soon :-).

Default 2018 Sportglide

Does the stock Batwing still fit with the mounting hardware in place or do you have to remove the hardware to go back to the smaller stock Batwing?

Also did you have to buy a kit to relocate the turn signals?

Considering this mode on mine.

Thanks

Memphis Shades batwing with 5" windshield in black
relocated turn signals and added CD LED inserts
CD sequential light bar
HD Engine guard and soft lowers
4" curved risers and chrome switches
Stage1 Ventilator + SE street cannons + SEPST
I use my old power vision to monitor her vitals
Garmin drive 60 gps

Soft lowers are so good at eliminating buffetting, i might replace them with hard permanent ones.

So far I am super happy with the bike

This might be a dumb question, but did you have to buy extra hardware to attach the fairing? Do you maintain the quick detach capabilities of the factory fairing?

Default Sport Glide Fork Mount Blinker Mounts

Anyone find a Fork Clamp Turn Signal Mounts to fit the Sport Glide? Trying to relocate them to the forks however the largest I've found where 54/58 MM(Kuryakyn 2-Piece Universal Fork Clamp Mounting Brackets) that are too small.
