said goodbye to the Sport Glide after 30K miles together. just wanted to do it in a thread with folks who knew how great the bike actually is.

don't worry it was by choice and a trade in. still sort of bummed about it though.

Glad to hear you had a good run with your Sport Glide.

Any issues during those 30k miles?

What did you trade to?

Orion, After 30k miles was there any damage to the oil cooler or regulator? There is a you tube video suggesting that the short front fender allows road debris to get kicked up into the front of the bike which could cause damage. Thanks for any info.

no. that pic was taken somewhere around 24-25K. if you zoom in you'll see the oil cooler in good shape.

After a bunch of research and planning, I’m converting to a bar mounted gauge setup (photo is a mock-up to make sure everything is good to go). Using gauges from an FXLR (still waiting for them to ship from New Castle HD).

- LA Choppers T bar gauge mount bracket and dual gauge housing pod
- angled bushings from speed-kings that mount into the riser bracket. Puts the gauges as the correct angle when running bars with straight risers, and allows the gauge pod to fit behind the my Memphis shades road warrior fairing
- FXLR speedo cable harness from Guerilla Cables
- no one makes a puck yet that fits for where stock speedometer is on the console, but one should be coming out soon from 31State from what I’ve been hearing. In the interim, I will plasti dip over the stock one once the rest of the parts get here, and then switch to a block off plate when one is in production.

Hi there. I have a SG and tried the 8", 10" and 12" slipstreamer screens. They all looked good but were terrible re buffeting, and I hate looking through the screen. For looks the 10" was the best but the wind would just hit right in my eyes. So form my race car experience I designed an air foil (that I named Clean Air). Amazing, right up to 120kph visor up and you are like in a quiet zone. Figured you must of experienced the same issue with the attachment on top. Its not a product piece, but a 3D printed at this stage. Happy to send you one if you like to report back. Ps. are you looking though the add-on? Im 5ft 10" Cheers

I actually wound up upgrading to the Memphis Shades Batwing, so I won't be needing one. Thanks for the offer though!
