Default Gas Caps

Anyone have any remarks on the flush fitting style of gas caps out there? Any downside?

My only remark would be where do you put them when refueling?

You know all those people that come up to talk to you while your fueling up? Ask them to hold your cap for you.

Back on topic...
I've heard they don't do a good job of keeping rain water out of your tank...but I have no personal experience with them.

I have flush fit caps on my Low Rider S and haven't had any problems with them.
I have seen a few reports of them sticking and owners having to remove the trim to get a grip on the cap to free it.

Does a flush gas cap work on all 2018 or 2019 softail models? Is there a mod for the filler neck and what do you do about the fake cap on the left side of the tank for the models that have them.?

When i had my '18 Breakout i couldn't find one. Chatted with a few people who had used the one for the previous Breakout, but the trim didn't sit quite right.

Yea, the way that the tank peaks in the middle seemed like it would cause an issue. I am thinking about just going with a JMS or PM black and machined one.
