Added a Saddlemen Renegade seat to my Heritage courtesy of forum member (and great seller) jqb12. This seat will be used for shortish, local rides. I'll be taking the bike for a 100-150 mile spin tomorrow to check it out. I already really like the looks.

I also installed a chrome spotlight bar. I like the blacked out look but I like to have more chrome accents than the factory I guess. I think it compliments the chrome light rings.

Beautiful saddle, but to be reserved for short rides in stripped down mode.
I agree with you regarding the mixture of chrome and black, I think that they used too much black from the 2022 model year, the previous ones were more balanced.
I love the Heritage in white, my ideal would be white with chrome trim...
Mine is Sumatra brown with black trim, here in stripped down mode too,but I think I prefer it in fully equipped Heritage mode...

I got busy with vinyl coat paints on my explorer RS seat last night, and the mini backpad. I never really liked the black but didnt know how to go about recoloring it.
Gave some vinyl SEM paints a shot.
You're going to love that seat.

What I did to mine was traded it on a NOS 23 FXLRS.

Needs some stuff yet. But I am happy.

What year is your Heritage? It's the same color as my 2022 model except mine has mag wheels.

No need to cut, just turn it upside down. I run the BMF. With forwards my knee hits a little when braking. No big deal. Zero contact with the further forward stock mids.

It appears you have LED turn signals there also. That setup must give you a ton of light! I have a 19 and my previous owner removed the light bar and the passing lights. Long story, but I got the turn signals mounted on the fork as part of the purchase and added the LEDs last year. The LEDs are great during the day but truly amazing at night. If you can get someone to take some pics (day or night), I would be curious to see what it looks like lit up going down the road.

Thanks!

I took a 160 mile ride yesterday. The first leg of the ride was 120 miles, then a break for a refreshment, and then the last 40 miles. I thought the seat comfort was fine for me. My rear end was ready for a break at 120 miles, but if needed I could have kept going. I'm sure I'll put on the stock seat when I tour on it.

Nice looking bike you've got. I like the way it looks, having more chrome accents than mine. I've picked up a chrome hubcap for the front wheel but haven't installed it yet. I'm considering putting on chrome lower rocker boxes like yours, but that's a lot of work as well as extra $$ for all the gaskets and seals required when you open up the top end like that. I'd also like to go with a chrome rear turn signal bar with black turn signals, but I've found that the signals and bar are a one piece casting that you can only get in all black or all chrome. If I can find a used chrome one cheaply enough, I'll get it and then sand and paint the signals black.

It does throw out a ton of light. The signals are Custom Dynamics Probeams, and when the signal isn't flashing, they change to white running lights that are really bright. Next time I think of it I'll have my wife come out and snap a picture of me riding up the street. Might be a while for me to remember that.
