Finally rode it for more than just around the block!
Rode from Seattle to Burlington in Skagit county to attend a Royal Enfield Demo Days event.
Meet up with a few friends from the PNW Riders Discord, 2 of which came up all the way from Portland.

We rode Royal Enfield bikes, then got lunch, and took the scenic backroads home.
Only 150miles on my bike but a couple dozen on the RE bikes.
Rear axle would not tighten after doing tension and realignment, I had to dash down to harbor freight the morning of the meet up to get an adjustable wrench large enough to hold the left side, and crank down the nut. I've never had that happen before.

**** man I am so happy to have my bike back.

That used to happen to me on my Road King which is due to the lousy city roads in Utah pretty much... and occasionally on gravel. Crash bars saved an expensive paint job thank you very much! <grin>

I didn't listen to a buddy who said you will get tired of that road king 85% of the time you are riding because that will all be short distance.

He was right and so I got a Sport Glide recently which has lousier (much lousier) tire mileage that agrees with your results.

I got dyspraxia and I drop my bike all the time. That's why my bike has a full crash cage on it, and learned to pick it up as easily as possible.

Thanks mate, doing her up as a 60s/70s style chopper build
currently fitting a set of "almost rabbit" tbars and sourcing a king/queen seat
planning on lengthening the forks a few inches
