@cwsharp I found this rear rack from Cobra that worked reallt well on my Fat Bob. Matched it with top bag from Kuryakyn Roamer Bag

Does the saddlemen seat move you forward, backward, up or down in position from stock seat ??
I demoed the hammock seat and it was not comfortable to me, I felt cramped even more than stock seat..

thanks for reply
I havent ridden my bike with the stock seat in like 2 years. As far as I remember the Explorer RS moves you back an inch, but is the same height maybe a little bit taller.
The stock seat wasn't bad, I did a 300 mile trip one it once. Saddlemen Explorer RS is more firm and much more supportive. It's more of a bucket seat than the stock or the knuckle profiler I have.
It's a good seat, I just wish I had gotten it in Tan Cork seeing as how good the tan cork looks on my solo seat on the bike.

If time allows, I'll be cutting the shield tonight
I cut the top flare off but also cut a "window" in the bottom. Seems to work well.

I've been running a windshield forever and just dealing with/ignoring buffeting...
November 2022 I rode south to Fla when hurricane Nicole was heading north. The buffeting was brutal. What I finally figured out during that ride was my buffeting was coming from BENEATH the windshield. My head was bobbling around and wind was roaring. When I held my arm horizontally across my body, the wind disappeared. Eureka...

When I got home, I ordered a set of fangs.
They ain't pretty but in my case they work like a charm.
I initially planned on just installing them for my long trips. They work so good, I leave them on all the time and deal with the ugly....

You can see them in the included image on the fork....
I had ordered them from Jes Custom Accents. I just checked their website and couldn't find them...

Harman, I like how you’ve sorted your Slim for touring. I am thinking of trying the longer rear shock for more travel and cornering clearance. Cheers

I tried moving my hand around to find the wind, rode head on into wind and rode with crosswind, I couldn't find anything indicating an updraft was causing the buffeting unfortunately.

I know those fangs were really popular with the touring guys to eliminate buffeting and headshake on their bikes

Thanks!
+55,000 miles on it so far. It's been up to Laconia and to Fla 3 times.

I installed a longer rear shock first to help with ground clearance. It helped a little but I was still scrapping floorboards. The biggest improvement I saw was from installing longer fork dampers. (and they were way cheaper)

I posted a video on it:
