Ditto, did mine tonight, and I don't think cruise will be a problem.

I just did that too and went for a ride yesterday, no problems. Just have to get used to the short reach to the buttons, will probably be more helpful while wearing gloves, that's when reaching the buttons is most awkward.

Sounds like Harley might be out of stock on extended turn signal buttons for a while...LOL.
Agree 100% with the gloves. My Alpine Star gloves are curved to fit the bars, so it becomes a struggle to get the thumb to stretch over to the turn signal button placed so far away.

Added my new derby cover. Could not take the look of the 114 derby cover.

Hey OldMike, you were asking about the Low Rider forward controls. Between weather, work and honey do's (new kitchen) this is actually the first time I've been out on 'er since installing them. I rode about a hundred miles today and *love* 'em. Years ago I had an '01 Deuce, they came stock with forward controls out of the box. With these on the Low Rider it's just like coming home again.

I'm about 5'10", 32" inseam and the riding position is just right for me. Not an extended reach, legs bent a bit at the knees but still feel great and the cramped feeling is gone. I think the best part is, with the different geometry of the brake pedal I found out the Low Rider actually does have a rear brake! It's much improved from the brake feel with mid controls.

To me, they are money well spent. $411 and change from Surdyke, I got them 6-7 days after ordering.

Rode 'er to my dealer and had breakfast in good company. The steak was great, went back for seconds.

And fell in love with this. Maybe in a few years when ole_phart becomes older_phart.

Great, I thought the handling of the bike would be different with legs more kicked out forward.
