Finished installing heated grips, been waiting a week for the wiring adapter. it's backordered till 28th, so I made my own and "hard wired" them to power inside USB box.

Merry christmas everyone. Since the wife is sick we didn't do anything this year so I stripped the bike down to paint. My first softail to paint so felt weird to strip it down.

I'm thinking, really wanting to, replace the stock front wheel of my Fat Boy with the Slotted version that comes on the 2022~2024 Fat Boy.
I think it'd be really nice accent to the look. Both still keep the disc aesthetic, but it reminds me of that Spoked wheel front, solid wheel back from some oldschool choppers.
It's a good time to swap since bike is in the shop.
If I do that, what I got left to get after the repair:
1. Wood Plat Lifters.
2. Matching galfer rotor for the rear.
3. Slotted Wheel swap
4. 19inch Windshield??? (Maybe)
5. Stock side panels vinyl wrapped in Amber Diamond

I think that's it.

Default New wheel recommendations?

I'm looking to swap out the spoked wheels on my 2021 FXBBS for something better looking. Ie the newer Harley Prodogy they make in a sexy bronze. I don't want to pay up the a$$ though. Does anybody have recommendations for good value and solid wheel manufacturers?

Also looking for a good place to potentially trade parts or give away little things I'm not going to use if anyone has some recs there too. Thanks everyone!

i want to keep this one simple. Doing it a bright white with three tight stripes: a very dark blue metallic, a royal purple, and a deep red. Something classy feeling and I enjoy a white bike since they aren't too played out.

That will look sharp. I'd pull those plug wires, wrap the ends and paint deep red as well.

I have had the best luck finding and selling parts on Facebook Marketplace.

I don't use Facebook, but I know a lot of parts get bought/sold on their marketplace. I subscribed to an Instagram page called: harley_m8_parts_buy_sell_trade I've seen some really fair prices and nice parts on their. Costs $1 to post an ad. The guy that runs it deletes posts as soon as the item sells (assuming the seller notifies him), so the page is pretty easy to see what is available.

As for wheels, I've used RSD in the past. I have a set of HD 13 spokes sitting in my garage. I can't decide if I'm going to put them on my Street Bob. They may go up for sale.

Happy new years all, finished smoothing, then painting and clearing the inner fairing on my ST. To me this is how they should be. Not really a fan of textured plastics.
