Finally got the last of my chrome pieces to get the black parts off the handlebars of my '23 BO. I installed mirrors and grips (HD Empire collection), master cylinder, clutch and brake brackets, levers, and switch covers. I'll grab a pic when I think about it.

The levers were on backorder for over 3 months. I wasn't going to put anything on until I had all the parts.

Notes and tips: if you try to look for the chrome switch housing kit under '23 BO, you won't find any. I rolled the dice and got the kit for the '23 Fat Boy. They did work, but the brake side required a modification to accommodate the brake light switch. I should have taken pictures, but I had to cut out a 2mm pad with a Dremel to make it work. It was pretty simple.

Something else to note: I replaced the master cylinder with the chrome one without having to have the ABS system bled, nor did I have to crack a single bleeder screw. How? I left the brake line connected to the original master cylinder until everything else was installed (just left it hanging from the line). I filled the new master, removed the line from the old master and lightly (but sealed) attached to the new one. I pumped the brake to get some feel, then cracked open the banjo bolt at the master and bled it there. Three rounds and it was completely bled. Went out and forced some ABS stops and the lever was as solid as with the original master. Done!

That has to make you feel good. Hopefully they provide you the chart with the final result and base line run over laid. Would be interesting to see if there is more area under the curve, or if the tq shifted in RPM.

I will post The sheet when I pick up. It’s Sowders speed shop(Matt) in ct.,he was recommended by the builder who did my cam and forum member slee93.He said he has worked with the jackpot riot pipe on other builds and never had a torque dip problem. When I did the cam I was running the Bassani road rage it went good but when i switched to the riot pipe it was a big gain in low end torque.

Nice. I wasn't concerned with a torque dip. More curious if the torque peak moved lower or higher in the RPM range.

Today is my 2 year Anniversary of buying my bike and my first ride on it.
I also realized I didnt get a left side view of the bike since installing that chrome oldschool styled battery box cover, or in Mid day light.
So I went out and got some more pics, and a short.
14159miles on the odometer as of Sept 14th 2023, 5659 miles for year 2.
Here's to another 18 years! My goal is to own this bike for 20 years.

well, finally after 2 weeks...got mine back from the dealer.

caution to the inverted 49mm fork crowd...the coating on the tubes is lacking in my mind. I rode through a wet road right after a rain shower. Maybe 12 miles later, got into the garage and wiped it down (my OCD)...and the fork tubes had blued like a gun barrels.

that coating doesn't hold up to much...must of had some oil from the road being dry for so long.

i also went for a short town ride to try the seat i installed several weeks back and havent gotten to try out,
i went saddleman renegade solo, so far...it is far superior to the stocker.
