Brought home a 2023 Heritage Classic today.
I sold my 2020 Road Glide Special a few months ago, but the itch came back strong.
I've never owned a softail before. In 1997 I bought a Road King and it's been a string of touring bikes since. This is also the first time I've brought home a bone stock bike, they've always had something done before delivery.

It's very interesting because I've never heard anything like it before.
It's a lower rumble that has this high pitched "twip" sound to each pulse. Starting you hear the deeper resonance tone as the bike starts up, which the eliminator 300s did not do before nor after the TTIs.
I've never heard this twip sound before, but it reminds me a bit of the Shovelhead exhaust sounds that I've heard. Like a higher pitch version of that bloop sound you hear from straight piped shovelheads with longer exhaust.
You can't hear the twip sound in the video I shot, which is really weird.
It sounds more "like a "Harley" than the previous exhaust. But it's also really unique.
This is actually rather fascinating.
I'm gonna get pics of the bike at bike night now that I've put it back into solo mode.

I'm surprised at how many people don't go for a set of TTIs for their bike when it came to noise.
I started running TTIs for the noise since my bike came with eliminator 300s and they were a bit louder than I expected.
And wrapping unwrapped baffles. Wrapping Baffles and adding a TTI which is cheap can give you a great sound still but not drone on your eardrums.
Windnoise at 60mph+ is way more of a problem than Exhaust note for me.
Even moreso with my new slip-ons. I can barely hear my exhaust on the freeway. Windnoise overpowers it.
I always wear Earplugs/Earbuds when I'll be doing anything over 45mph.
