I want to see some videos with good sound! I have Rineharts on my 19 Heritage 114. I am disappointed with the sound overall. It idles ok. But going down the road just doesn't do it for me. I like the old school sound of of my 02 Wide Glide twin cam with V&H Big Radius. THAT is what a motorcycle should sound like!

This off-season upgrade is a new seat. But next year (2024-25), year 4 or my 5 year plan, is to do something with a cam and a tuner. <-- The previous owner did not provide one on his trade-in and the HD records show nothing ever been done in that respect. I need to somehow hear the M8 growl. Is that even possible?

I watched alot of videos while looking for exhaust options. Maybe if I had a good home theater system it would be a little more enlightening but I really think they all sound like crap in recorded video format. I hear you on the WG with V&H. My second Harley was a '14 Fat Bob TC104 that had V&H big shots. That was ridiculously loud but was awesome sounding. I traded out whatever was in the cans for quiet baffles and that made it sound better to me.

Can an M8 be made to growl? Good Question. This is only the second day I've had the Tab tail pipes on the ST but I'm loving it so far. Have to plug Tab Perfomance again. The nice part is $100 and you can try a different baffle set if you want to experiment. First HD was a Low Rider TC88 with screaming eagles. It had the classic crackle only bested by the old naturally aspirated sound. The M8 is definitely different but I'm growing to love it.

If anyone was curious about how I went about installing that Feuling Short Sump plug, incase you want to install one too, I release a video of the install finally:
It actually appears to be the first actual install video of it on youtube too.

Towed it to Pigeon Forge, TN. Hopefully get a few days of riding in and maybe test ride something at the dealership.

For future reference, if you rolled the bike up on to some 2x6 blocks, then put it on the kick stand, the amount of oil that seeps from the sump plug hole is pretty minimal.

Good video.

Good video.

I was doing this at my 10K service so that I could get as much oil out of the bike as possible. Completely clean it out with any dirty oil particulates. Since this was my final half interval oil change to clean out the engine, I wanted to do the short sump plug while doing the 10K service so that I had as much as reasonably possible dirty oil removed from the engine.
I just needed it to stop dripping so the threads would be clean when I put the new plug in with the thread sealant.

Stage 1 and 2 are complete. It sounds and rides like a whole new machine.
