Fianlly installed the S&S intake manifold, along with a set of 5.5 SE injectors. for any one curious, i needed injectors for a 19 Street glide with 1K miles on it, been sitting way to long with fuel. so i grabbed the SE as an upgrade to my LRS and used the stockers in the Street glide.
i will say this, if the injectors are over controlled by teh ECM and A?F settings, the increase in power from the intake IS noticeable...
i could do a 1800 RPM, 3 mph launch and spin thru 1st, into 2nd and go... it now easily spins thru the mid rpm range of 2nd.
if it wouldnt have started pouring with rain, i would have some Dragy info,,,so stay tuned for that.

Which tuner are you using?

M8 117 with stage 2 components and a 55mm intake surpasses the 115hp maximum efficient range of the stock injectors. Stock Injectors can reach up to 117hp, but a 117 will exceed 117hp with a max effort cam and 55m manifold, and will be held back from achieving over 117hp. 5.5g/s or higher flow rate injectors are needed to safely exceed 115hp on any m8 engine.

This is where having a live warm body that knows what they are doing on a dyno pays off. Canned MAP's are probably good for 90% of people out there, but I've always found better results having the bike on the drum.

i am running the SE tuner (FOR NOW), wanting to call Fuel moto and grab a PV. but it does seem to run noticeably better. is it intake manifold alone ????, i think it is the slightly extra fuel just from orifice size alone. i didnt really fear running them without tuning, just due to harley tuning being so lean. the bike still doesnt stink up the garage, so i doubt it is rich
