Beautiful bike. Can you guys not vote a rider into your Parliament and do something about those awful license plates.
Thanks.
I'm with you on that front - they are awful - may be I should rent out advertising space.
Infact, that's a 8 x 7 plate - which I had made in error - should have been 7 x 8 (180 x 200) to match the German (TUV) number plate surround.
A lot of people over here, as mentioned by MrLongbeard, go for a smaller number plate.

Yeah, I would love to - don't need it over here for the MOT (annual vehicle test).
..but, as yet, I haven't found a guide of how to do it.
you dont need a guide. Make the guide.
look at it and remove everything associated with it. Block off any open ports after. I bet its the same as removing it from any other vehicle. Except easier.
Put on 272 miles today, went down to IL to grab a cheap GPS that I plan on mounting on the inner fairing.
Either I'm getting old, or I gotta break my butt in again, I was already needing a stretch at 160 miles.
Early in the season. I feel 'the same way. Overtime has kept me from being able to get out there and ride. I am giving second thoughts to Leesburg at the end of the month.
It's 250 or so one way. I can remember when that was considered easy. Now I'm not so sure.
Put a shorter screen on the fairing and there's less buffeting but more wind resistance. Still have to grab a tent and a tailbag, plus some highway pegs. Having a backrest should make it easier, along with a place to put my feet.
Have a battery backup charger for the Sena. Phone charges on the bike.
guys... my normal Saturday or Sunday ride usually consist of a tank of fuel going, then one to return. easy 3-400 ish every outing unless it is a week night cruise trough town.

Nothing wrong with needing to stretch at 160 miles. Im on a 2020 FXLR, when touring I usually get gas at about 100 mi and take a little break. But at 67 some people think I am old.
