For a short-life racing motor, that's fine. For longevity, it's totally not what you'd want. Instead you want the most restrictive filter you can get, which flows JUST ENOUGH air so that it's not actually hindering your engine's performance, but not one molecule more than that. Performance is determined by how much your engine pulls in, not by how free-flowing your air filter is; so long as the air filter allows the max that your engine wants to pull in, then that's all the flow you need, and any flow above that is just letting more crap in.
Yep, but here's the problem - K&N sells high flow, low filtration filters for our street applications, too. I looked for dry aftermarket air filters for M8, but there aren't any except for the FM BMP that is too wide.

Not so much did something to my bike today, except I went out and swapped to the touring seat on my bike, and did an oil check and what not so I could get my bike ready to ride with my boyfriend while he's here.
But I did get something rather important I was after in today that I bought when the 10% off coupon showed up.
Mini air compressor incase I get a tire puncture. I didn't want something huge so I went looking for the smallest ones I could find, and this was 40$ shipped, it's slightly smaller than a Monster can. Weighs just a bit more than the monster.
The red one is my tool shop one that I use to keep my bike tires accurately inflated. This little one's just for roadside recovery.
EDIT: Forgot to add This one is the "LILTSDRAE Bike Pump Mini Tire Inflator"
Amazon Amazon

Purchased a stand from harbor freight im going to modify to hold my tank so i can prep and paint it.

installed my sissy bar.

ordered the aluminum 1500lb motorcycle jack from Harbor freight.

next purchase will be a cam, lifters, pushrods, gasket/seal/bearing kit, intake manifold, and fuel injectors.

starting the research tonight on a chain conversion, compensator upgrade, and what tools i might need that i dont have for the primary side of the bike.

i kinda want a lift/table to put in the center of my garage….

These comps with the ramp swap handle 250hp+250TQ+ at the rear wheel. They're all basically indestructable.
Super easy.

For me today I didn't do something to my bike as much as I made something for my riding.
I "made" a 64oz Gas Bottle, a 21$ vacuum canister with a nozzle, and decals. basically a half gallon. I know non-vented gas storage is a problem but this will be for my bike, and my motocamping stove which runs on Gasoline. I still need to figure out a way to harness it to the bike, but I've been waiting a while to get this mini project done.

Built a stand to prep and paint my tank.

Built it out of a $18 Harbor freight lumber roller stand.

Welded a 1” square length of steel to the top of the stand. Drilled 2x 3/8” holes 22” apart. Cut the overall length to 24”. Done.

I thought about going with the man o war sprocket, but I read several post from members that had installed it and said it was noisy. I ended up going with the Star Racing. Like FranBunny said, they are all good ramps. Moonshine, Star Racing and TTS out of England are all the same ramp, I think.

there are some good videos out there documenting the noise it makes. It seems minimal at best. Plus its a Harley. Let the machine make noise. It will never be a Yamaha.

Much better. Did you paint HD on the tank or is that a decal?
