So I got the backrest and luggage rack installed with the leatherworks bags. It all fits nice and tight. I rode it in to work today and nothing was rattling around. I'm stoked so far!

Much better!
Added bonus is that it kicks my leg out a bit further, keeps my boot away from my exhaust pipe

Finally, some progress. Got the bars installed. It's not complete, but it's something.

Default cranked over and running.

Got it cranked and running. Got a check engine light and a code for engine run/stop switch open/short. I've heard something about this after doing a bar swap. I can't remember how to clear it, or whether it has to go back to the dealer.

Needs air in the ties bad. Afraid to ride it until I get it aired up, and my car compressor is trashed. Dominator pre wired bars, went together and went on ok. I had to order the twist grip sensor from Harley. I had an issues with the bars I last tried to install, and it's been sitting for a while. But Dominator hooked me up, and I went from 14s to 16s. Also put on one of those e-bay cheap *** plastic fenders. I had one on order a the dealer, and I never heard anything back. AT least I hope it will keep the water out of my face when it rains.

Got a Memphis Shades fairing laying around here somewhere.

Found the fairing and got it mounted. Those Memphis shades mounts are a little weird though, and I think I might need to order a couple of new ones. There a lot more loose than I really like. But the fairing itself is way cool.

Trying to charge the SENA on the helmet, and had to wipe off a mountain of dust. I think the last time I actually rode was July 2021. I guess I just needed to step away from it for a while. I need to get the tires aired up. I have one of those Harley compressors, but for some reason, mine always seems to blow fuses. So, rather than blow the fuse out of the pigtail. I might wait until tomorrow and go over to the auto parts store and buy another compressor for the car. It will work just as well for airing up the bike too.

Probably back to lurk mode after this. Is it weird, that after I got the bike cranked up, that I could feel the accident I had again? But like, everything on the opposite side of my body? Maybe I am spacing, I don't know. Could just be my mind playing tricks on me. Oh well, not everyone can say they high sided on the expressway, and then were able to walk away from it. I was really lucky.

Yeah you can clear your own codes, I did it after my bar change on the RGS. Should be very similar to this:

Was your bike bad? I mean, it is sitting the corner.

I added a mustache bar on my Street Bob and rode it for a bit. Realized how quiet it was so I ordered some TAB slip ons. Should make the neighbors happy!
