i thought they used the same tank already.

No, beginning in 2018 Breakouts came with a 3.5 gallon tank, until now in 2023 when they went back to a 5 gallon tank.

The numbers are in! 117hp / 128ft lbs. Wood 22XD cam, Sawicki 2-1 shorty exhaust, Fuel Moto BMF filter, PV3. The guys at Fuel Moto installed an insert into the exhaust to assist in the low end torque; it seems this particular exhaust paired with this cam clearly favors mid range and top end, which is where I wanted to improve the bike!

It's killing me that I can't ride it yet.. Next week we're supposed to get rain on Wednesday, then a high of 38* on Thursday. If we get those two things in order, I'll test it out Thursday afternoon!

36 HP gain, nearly 21 TQ as well.

That's pretty great on the numbers. Curious about that torque dip though. I see that a lot on M8 Softails with 2 into 1 exhausts.
I wonder why that is with so many Softails. I wonder if Stock headers+Slip-Ons have this problem too.
You got that peak power before 5500 RPM, which means it falls right inline with the OEM safe wear and tear limits. That's a nice little surprise IMO.

BTW your video is Privated.

It is because of the shorty exhaust, if it was a full length exhaust (Thunderheader for example) it would not have that dip. It is the price you pay for the shorty 2 into 1 craze. Even the mid-length does a lot better for low end.

My curiosity here is that I have the stock FLFBS header on my bike, with Eliminator 300s with 118W TTIs installed, which are a few inches shorter than the stock slip-ons.
I'm hoping these 300s with 118Ws will make that low end torque dip non existent.
I do have a set of SE Street Cannons in the box, and satin chrome heatshields to swap too if by chance they could create better performance. And I also have a set of SharkRoad Slip-Ons and a set of 158W TTIs that I can install into them in the box as well.
But for the style of my bike I want to stay with the 300s because they have that most "Chopper" like look.

This is not my dyno slip( got it of fuel moto’s site) but is what I am running with the S&s manifold. Most mild torque dips with softail’s is only noticeable on the dyno slip. Rgs88’s bike is going to be a lot of fun to ride. Just need to be throttle happy!

I am looking after the S&S 475 for the stage 2 that I would like to install on my Heritage, because I love the swaying sound it makes with this cam, I also want to trade my Cobra Neighbor Haters that I found obnoxious with the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe which has an exit more at the rear of the bike and will certainly have less resonance, but I wonder if the 465 is better at low revs ...

Oops, fixed the video so it should be visible for all now!

The guys at FM spent some time with me talking about the dyno, I really don't think it's going to be anything I notice when I get out riding. I've seen similar things in friend's cars after a round of heavy modifications + dyno tune, and we never felt any of the "dyno dips" translate into the real world seat of the pants butt dyno.

No doubt a longer exhaust would likely benefit, but I couldn't pass up a $400 Sawicki. If, for some reason I actually notice the powerband feeling off in that dip, I would consider dropping another $1k on a new exhaust.

But, this thing sounds SO MEAN in person that I'm about 1000000% sure I'm going to absolutely love it the second I get it out on rip the throttle the first time!

It's funny that none of these dyno sheets reference oil temperature, especially with part and tune comparisons. You can see a 10+% difference in output simply by going from a 180 degree oil temp to 225 degrees.

Also...few references to air density. You make a lot more horsepower at 104% air density than at 92%. Without these two important factors you cannot compare anything.

i would most assure anyone, that silght dip in that rom range...for the actual time the motor is there, wont be noticed.

you would probably notice more from gagging the throttle when hitting a bump.
